Homecoming of Our First Class of Students

On 5th December, we were visited by four old boys of our first batch of students from 1955. They were among those who first received the love and care from our founding Brothers. Brother John and our Principal Mr. Iu joyfully received our guests and showed them around the campus. When they departed, our eldest old boys left us a precious picture taken in 1957 and a lot of fond memories of their early secondary school lives in SFXC.

App Programming Competition Prize Presentation

On the 5th of November, we presented prizes to 4 students who participated in the “Computer App Programming Competition” organized by the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Our students LUK Cheuk Yin and LIANG Kit Wai from F3A designed a mobile application and device to help guide the people with visual impairments. They won the champion in the junior group. In the senior group, LAW Pui Huen and CHUNG Tsz Wa from F4C designed a smart-home model that could be remotely controlled by a custom made mobile application. They also won the champion. Congratulations to the winners and thanks for making us so proud as Xaverians.

Dining Etiquette Workshop

A 3-hour Dining Etiquette workshop was successfully held in the afternoon on 1 st December 2017. Organized by the Career Guidance committee and Life Learn (HK), the workshop aimed to educate our students about the proper dining manners for Western cuisine in formal occasions. Altogether 32 F.4 and F.5 students joined the event at a restaurant in Wanchai. Other than learning various dining etiquettes, they also got to enjoy a formal 4-course lunch. Having the taught skills practiced, the workshop was definitely a fruitful out-of- classroom learning experience for our students.
