Basketball Team’s Training and Competition Trip to Malaysia

From July 17 to 25, 2025, our school’s basketball team—17 students from Form 3 to Form 5—embarked on a training and competition trip to Sibu, Sarawak, Malaysia, to participate in the 4th Marist (East Asia) Basketball Tournament 2025. The team was led by Brother John Chong, Mr. Wong Ka Kin (Vice Principal), and Coach Wong Ka Lok.

The tournament, held at Sibu Catholic High School (詩巫公教中學) and hosted by its Principal Brother Anthony Tay, brought together Marist-affiliated schools from Malaysia, Hong Kong China, the Philippines, Japan, and other East Asian regions. Themed “Journey Together as the Global Family,” the event promoted unity and cultural exchange.

The trip aimed to:

1.       Strengthen ties among Marist schools in East Asia

2.       Build teamwork and sportsmanship

3.       Encourage personal growth and excellence

4.       Foster a sense of responsibility

We are proud to share that our Form 3 student Wong Yik Him Harvey was named Top Scorer of the tournament—a remarkable achievement that brought honour to our team.

Our sincere thanks go to Brother Anthony Tay, Brother John Chong, and the St. Francis Xavier’s College Alumni Association for their generous support in making this meaningful journey possible.

Congratulations to students with outstanding HKDSE 2025 results

We are pleased to share the remarkable achievements of our students in the 2025 HKDSE examinations, which reflect the resilience, dedication, and hard work of both our students and teachers.

Once again, congratulations to all students who have attained outstanding results — your efforts are truly commendable.

Prize Presentation Ceremony of the 2025 Constitution and Basic Law Territory-wide Inter-school Competition

Three of our Form 2 students represented our school to participate in the Prize Presentation Ceremony of the 2025 Constitution and Basic Law Territory-wide Inter-school Competition on 9 July 2025 at the Lecture Hall of the Education Bureau Kowloon Tong Education Services Centre.

Our school was honoured to be invited to the final event as one of the recipients of the Most Active Participation Award (最積極參與學校奬), a recognition of our students’ enthusiastic involvement and commitment to civic education.

The event, organized by the Curriculum Development Institute of the Education Bureau, featured a series of exciting and intellectually enriching quiz rounds, followed by a formal prize presentation ceremony. It aimed to deepen students' understanding of the Constitution and the Basic Law, and to nurture a strong sense of national identity and civic responsibility.

We extend our gratitude to the Education Bureau for this valuable learning opportunity.

F.6 Seminar for Parents and Students 2024–2025

On July 5th, our school held the annual F.6 Seminar to help students and parents prepare for the upcoming HKDSE results release. The event aimed to provide both practical information and emotional support during this important stage of the academic journey.

The seminar began with a warm welcome speech by our Principal, Mr. Leung, reminding students and parents of the need for mental and emotional readiness. Students then attended a briefing session covering all key arrangements for Results Release Day, including result slips collection procedures, sources of support and the application process for rechecking and remarking. To help them visualize the experience, they watched a documentary video capturing real moments from last year’s results release, followed by a reflective prayer led by Brother John.

Students then participated in a simulation activity, receiving predicted grades based on their mock exam performance. This allowed them to rehearse the actual process and reflect calmly on possible outcomes. After the simulation, students were grouped based on their proposed results and academic interests and proceeded to various classrooms for small-group guidance workshops. Alumni, matched according to students’ career goals, shared their own experiences in handling results and making JUPAS decisions.

While students were in workshops, parents stayed in the school hall for a Q&A session, during which teachers responded to common concerns about results release and JUPAS arrangements. This was followed by a heartfelt talk by our school social worker, who offered guidance on how parents can support their children emotionally through this important time. Parents also viewed a touching video of four F.6 students expressing their gratitude to family and school. The session concluded with parents writing heartfelt encouragement cards to their children.

The event received positive feedback for its thoughtful arrangements and warm atmosphere. As our F.6 students approach this critical milestone, we continue to stand by them with care, clarity, and confidence.
