HKU Med High Table Dinner: An Inspiring Evening for Students

Over ten of our F5 and F6 students were honoured to attend the prestigious HKU Med High Table Dinner, hosted by our distinguished alumnus, Professor Chung Pui Hong, Assistant Dean (Health Sciences Admissions) at the LKS Faculty of Medicine, The University of Hong Kong.

Held at St. John’s College Dining Hall, the evening offered our students a rare opportunity to experience the traditions of university life. Dressed in formal green academic gowns, they joined professors and university students for an elegant dinner filled with meaningful conversations, mentorship moments, and inspiring insights into the medical field.

This exceptional evening not only broadened our students’ horizons but also strengthened their motivation to pursue a future in health sciences. We are grateful to Professor Chung and the HKU Med team for extending such a valuable opportunity to our students.

It was a truly memorable experience that left a lasting impression!

Yau Tsim Mong District Youth United Nations Simulation Conference

On 28 September 2025, 6 students from our school participated in the Yau Tsim Mong District Youth United Nations Simulation Conference (油尖旺區青年模擬聯合國會議). Prior to the event, they attended two workshops focused on international trade and diplomacy, equipping them with essential knowledge and skills.

During the conference, our students represented their assigned countries and engaged in discussions with representatives from 12 other secondary schools, addressing critical issues related to tariffs and economic safety. This interactive experience not only fostered their negotiation and communication skills but also deepened their understanding of global economic challenges.

We hope this experience broadened the students' knowledge of economic matters and fostered a sense of responsibility as global citizens, inspiring them to learn from and contribute positively to the world around them.

F.1 Parents’ Gathering 2025–2026

The F1 Parents’ Gathering for 2025-2026 was held at our school hall on 27th September.

The event began with a warm welcome speech delivered by our Vice Principal, Mr. Ching Yuk Tong. This was followed by informative presentations from our teaching team, covering key areas such as our academic structure, national security education, discipline and counselling policies, and life-wide learning initiatives. Our school social workers, Mr. Lai and Ms. Wong, also shared valuable advice on how parents can care for themselves while supporting their sons with ease and confidence.

As a token of appreciation, each parent received a thoughtfully prepared gift bag, which included candies, chocolate, a tea bag, and a "Thought for the Soul" card.

Before concluding the gathering, parents had the opportunity to meet and engage in meaningful conversations with their sons’ F.1 Form Teachers, fostering stronger home-school collaboration.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to all F.1 parents for their enthusiastic participation. Your presence and support made the event both meaningful and fruitful.

"AI War of Resistance Hero" On-Campus Exhibition

To deepen students’ understanding of the history of the War of Resistance, the school hosted the “AI 抗戰志士” Exhibition on September 19 and 22. The exhibition was organized by the Education Bureau and co-organized by The Academy of Chinese Studies, bringing a unique and meaningful learning opportunity to our campus.

The exhibition showcased valuable historical archives and the remarkable stories of wartime heroes. A special highlight was the AI War of Resistance Hero (抗戰志士), which provides immersive feature provided students with a vivid and memorable way to explore the history of the Anti-Japanese War.

Students from junior forms attended the exhibition during their Chinese History, History, or Citizenship and Social Development (CES) lessons. To complement the exhibition, the school library also held a themed book display to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Victory of the War of Resistance, encouraging students to further explore this important period in Chinese history.

We hope the exhibition not only enriched students' historical knowledge, but also inspired a deeper appreciation for the sacrifices of those who came before us, and encouraged them to learn from history.
