English Ambassadors Explore Nature and Culture at Dr. Rey’s Farm

On 26th April 2025, the English Ambassadors enjoyed a fun and meaningful outing to Dr. Rey’s Farm, a countryside retreat owned by Dr. Rey, our school’s Native-speaking English Teacher (NET). The day offered students a chance to practise English in real-life situations while building teamwork, exploring culture, and connecting with nature.

The trip began with group games conducted in English, encouraging students to collaborate, share ideas, and solve problems—boosting their confidence and communication skills in a relaxed setting.

After the games, everyone gathered for a classic American-style BBQ, featuring hamburgers and hot dogs grilled by Ambassador 2B Aiden Kong, along with corn-on-the-cob, baked beans, and other tasty sides. The meal gave students a taste of American culture and a chance to chat in English in a casual, social environment.

The highlight of the day was the farming workshop, where students learned about sustainable agriculture and planted vegetables like eggplants, cucumbers, and corn. The session was conducted in English, giving students a chance to use the language while learning by doing.

More than just a day out, the trip helped students disconnect from city life, gain new skills, and use English in meaningful ways.
