On 25th April 2025, our school came together for an unforgettable evening as part of the Distinguished Alumni Sharing Series, themed "Brotherhood: An Inspiring Journey with Medical Alumni." The event brought together esteemed medical professionals, alumni, parents, and students for an inspiring night of reflection, insight, and forward-thinking discussion.
Our honoured guests — Dr. Fan Ning (Class of 1987), Dr. Yuen Ka Ye Kenny (Class of 1989), and Prof. Chung Pui Hong (Class of 1989) — shared heartfelt stories about their time at SFXC, the brotherhood that shaped them, and how their alma mater influenced their remarkable careers in medicine. Their speeches were rich with nostalgia, wisdom, and encouragement for the next generation.
Guest hosts Mr. Lee Cheuk Him Trevor and Mr. Leung Wing Cheung Nathan (both Class of 2007) added a personal touch by sharing their own SFXC experiences, bridging the past and present with humour and heartfelt memories.
The "Future Horizons in Medicine" forum featured leading medical professionals discussing three pivotal topics: the realities of building a medical career, solutions to the challenges of an ageing population, and the transformative role of AI in healthcare — including both its potential and ethical considerations. Presented in practical terms, these insights offered valuable guidance for attendees ranging from students to healthcare practitioners.
The event received enthusiastic participation from alumni, parents, and students alike. Attendees found the discussions highly informative and deeply inspiring, leaving with fresh perspectives and renewed motivation for their academic and professional journeys.
We extend our deepest gratitude to our distinguished alumni and everyone who joined us in celebrating the enduring brotherhood of SFXC.
